Is Plies Letting Fame Go to His Head? |

August 4th -
In the eyes of most, Plies can be considered a successful young and
upcoming rapper. While he can't claim the same level of commercial
success as Lil Wayne, Plies latest album is selling well and his songs
(or those he is featured on) are getting good radio play.
As described in a previous article, Plies has started a non-profit
foundation to help children with incarcerated parents. With this kind
of effort, you would think that Plies is keeping himself grounded and
ensuring he doesn't let the success he achieves go to his head.
However, due to reports of some of his recent behavior, he may not be
quite as grounded as you would expect.
SOHH recently published an email from an
individual that experienced a taste of Plies ego driven behavior. As
the individual (who works within the music industry) was backstage
taking photographs, he and every other single person backstage was told
to clear the hallway. While many backstage thought this meant that
Jay-Z was going to make a special appearance, it turned out that it was
Plies. Additionally, he had a bodyguard and two police officers on
guard throughout the course of his performance. According to other
reports, Plies demands this treatment at every show he performs. While
all his fans hope for Plies success to continue to grow, if these
reports are true, he should take a moment to think about whether or not
his behavior will alienate his fans or those around him. As long as
Plies is able to focus on keeping a grounded approach to his work, the
sky will be the limit for his success.
